Among the many non-existent original poets 'translated' by Mangan is the Gaelic bard Charles Boy McQuillan, which sounds like a Delta bluesman to me. And which prompts the comparison: if Yeats is Irish poetry's B.B. King, getting the record deal and going global, then Mangan is obviously this man:
