Johannes Bobrowski, Bloodrain (my translation)

Primed for flight
overhead,
windblown,
released to the sky,
the blossoms
drown,

fallen
the colour of dust
with spilt water.
Your hair is like grass.

Take my blood-
and water-dividing
breath,

new eyelids
until tomorrow.
